Maria Simms has a BFA from Illinois Wesleyan University, and for several years after college taught public school art in Chicago area suburbs, and exhibited her art in a number of galleries. She has travelled extensively and lived in Arlington, VA, Omaha, NE, San Francisco, CA, Connecticut, and finally settled in New Hampshire.
